WHO'S BEHIND ROOTSECURE

About RootSecure — Root access, literally and figuratively

Security doesn't start with technology. Security starts with trust. RootSecure was founded on the belief that every SME deserves the same quality of network and cyber security as large organizations — without the complexity, cost, or barrier to entry that usually comes with it.

Why "Root"Secure?

Root: the highest level of authorization. Secure: protecting that access.

"Root" is the highest authorization level within an operating system — full control over a server or computer. That access is the key to an entire IT environment, which makes it the first thing an attacker wants to get their hands on. "Secure" stands for protecting exactly that fundamental base, both digitally and physically. Together they form the core of how we work: security that starts at the foundation, not at the symptoms.

Mission & Vision

No business is too small to be secured.

Every entrepreneur deserves a safe, reliable, and future-proof digital working environment. That's why we help organizations with honest advice, high-quality network solutions, and well-considered cybersecurity — so they can focus on what they do best: running their business.

Digital threats keep evolving, and cyberattacks are no longer reserved for large multinationals. RootSecure has no ambition to become a Managed Service Provider you simply add on. We want to be the partner that thinks ahead, looks forward, and builds a strong, secure foundation your business can grow on — not expensive solutions you'll only end up using 10% of.

The founder

Robin Versloot

Networking & cybersecurity specialist, based in Almere.

RootSecure was founded by Robin Versloot. He currently works at Cloud ÉÊn, an excellence partner of KPN, where he gains hands-on experience in network management, infrastructure, and digital security.

RootSecure was deliberately set up as a sole proprietorship: kept small so the quality of every engagement stays personally guaranteed. In the startup phase, Robin is responsible for everything — technical work, client contact, sales, administration, and consultancy.

What sets Robin apart is his Purple Team background: a combination of offensive and defensive knowledge. That means not just implementing security measures, but also thinking like an attacker to catch risks early — before they become a problem.
